Behind this web site initially stood the idea of two friends in the last century who wanted to publish Native American Information in German language. One of the publishers quickly realized how much work this will turn into and abandoned the other one with the words "I'd rather play beach volley-ball". This was in 1997. Now the site has grown to over 400 pages and several hundred images. It was even split into 3 seperate domains to streamline content by subject. Radlhammer.com still covers the initial site about Native Americans as well as some photographic content. All the Thai temple content is now hosted on www.chimburi.com. A more detailed coverage on Thailand, with travel information, insider info and pictures is behind a password protected private site, which is open by invitation only.  Radlhammer.com is still managed by only one person and is now being linked to by a vast amount of 3rd party web sites in German that cover educational content, Universities, a "Mystery" web site,  a TV station site, archeological web sites, several sites, which cover Native American content, as well as tourist web sites. It is out of control for a private site. There is no space left for private content, like all the pictures of family and friends. Below is a brief overview on who is behind this site here.

History and Facts

Cars like the one above roamed the streets of Germany when the author was born. He wasn't born into an environment, which would provide him with the opportunities to take on the challenges of the 21st century. He "worked himself up" and there was some luck by joining one of the worlds key technology leaders at a time when many of you readers weren't even born yet. He published his first private web site in 1995. Then and today one can see a little twinkle in his eyes when one speaks of the internet.

Effectiveness and Discipline

So, how can a person really publish a private site and still have a life? Believe me there is a very fulfilling live happing while this site is published. And as you can see the site is really up-to-date. Even the Copyright is changed at midnight of the New Year. Besides a very fulfilling and interesting full-time day job there is still time for hobbies and interests. What are those? Take a look at this site and it will tell you. It's really just a very organized life, which is managed in a very effective way.

IN and OUT

Of course one has feelings and opinions and there is stuff one loves and things one hate. So, here is the top 5 to 10 INs and OUTs from around the globe (subject to changes without notification).

IN:

  • Thailand: food, people, land

  • U.S.A.: 24/7/365

  • Espana: Marques de Caceres

  • Toyota

  • Progressive House

  • Canon 5D

OUT:

  • Politicians

  • Snakes

  • Germany: GEZ - some sort of antiquated government-supported system to charge for public radio and TV

  • Germany: People who order kleiner gemischter Salat (small mixed salad) and share a Pizza.

  • People with a big ego

  • (Most) Germans when riding bicycles

  • Mr. Bush (even though he might be covered under politicians he deserves to be named seperately)

If you still want to know more about the person behind this site there is more written in so-called virtual back-flaps (like on books) in each section of the photography sites. Watch for the little back-flap on bottom right corner of the entry pages.
