2001

December 2001:

360° Gallery: By now I planned to have the pix up from my last trip to Thailand, but my computer crashed and I am a picky buyer. So, now with a Pentium® 4 Processor based PC with 1.9 GHz they should be live soon. In the meantime, while others had to get their last x-mas presents, I took a 360° shot of the park at the Nymphenburg Castle in Munich on a V-E-R-Y cold day. Dedicated to all my friends from Thailand who love to see snow! (kit wha phra pop choop duu hima).

Panorama Gallery: Do you know where Lanna is? Don't worry, even my friends in Thailand were not familiar with the name of the former kingdom in Northern Thailand. Take a look at this panorama shot though.

Indianer: Kunst oder Kitsch? Drei weitere Seiten in dieser neuen Sektion. Töpferarbeiten der Navajo und Zuni,  sowie ein Yakima Medaillon.

November 2001:

Panorama Gallery: Sunshine in London? Have a look for yourself and see the Houses of Parliament on an early sunny morning.

Indianer: Kunst oder Kitsch? Ab November gibt es in der Indianer-Web Sektion nun auch Informationen über indianische Kunst. Zum Start: Navajo Web- und Flechtkunst, sowie Perlenstickereien der Papago.

Sorry my only-english speaking friends, my recent stats showed more visitors on the german language pages on native american information, so I have expanded this section to now include native american art. 

October 2001:

360° Picture Gallery: A birds eye view of Bangkok ,  a 360° view within the Thai Temple Wat Pho and a panorama view of the cloister of the Temple Wat Benchamabopitr from yet another trip to Bangkok. In German we would say that the pictures were still warm when they were posted on this site one day after my return - almost real-time!

Also added to the 360° Gallery, a panorama view of the Hofgarten in Munich, a 17th century Renaissance Garden.

September 2001:

Indianer: Kalifornien hat Oklahoma eingeholt, zumindest nach Anzahl der indianischen Einwohner pro Bundesstaat aus der Volkszählung des Jahres 2000

August 2001:

360° Picture Gallery: actually, the name is overstating things a bit, but I've got my first 360° picture and a panorama view up and spinning. Check it out!

Indianer: Zwei weitere Stämme erlangten (Wieder-)Anerkennung durch die U.S. Regierung, die Chinook und die Coast Miwok und bringen damit die Zahl der anerkannten Stämme auf 558.

Thai Temples: from my last trip - the biggest jade Buddha image in the world

Indianer: Häufig gestellte Fragen haben mich nun veranlasst einige meiner Antworten zugängig zu machen. Fast alle Fragen zum Thema Indianer kommen verständlicherweise in Deutsch. Es sind aber auch ein paar englische Zuschriften dabei.

June 2001:

Lots of site maintenance was done to this site. Due to the fact that I found some of my images on third party sites without my approval, I have now made it a little more difficult for them to steal images off this site. A Digimarc ImageBridge™ watermark has now been embedded into all images.

May 2001:

A whole new site added "Life along the Klongs of Bangkok" (Klongs being the small canals in Thailand)

April 2001:

Native American Pow Wow's: Grass Dancers - added 10 more pictures

Thai Temples: added Wat Dhammamongkol, Wat Ratchapradit, Wat Prok, Wat Yan Nawa and Wat Pathumwanaram (all in Bangkok). More pictures added to Wat Phra Keo, Wat Po  and Wat Suthat.
