German October 2002: Panorama Gallery: The wildest place at the Munich Octoberfest is inside the Hofbraeu Beer Hall. With all the movement a very difficult undertaking to take a panoramic or even 360° shot. Another great panoramic view was taken in the Dolomite Mountains in Italy. September 2002: Panorama Gallery: Sunset in San Francisco, California is the latest addition to my panorama shots. Photography: I rounded up my series on Thai Temples by adding the Western and Southern provinces. Not much yet, but I have added a beautiful temple in the Western province of Tak - Wat Phra Boromathat and the first three Thai temples I ever visited, located on Phuket Island in the South (which by the way hardly represents Thailand). I have also added the largest Buddhist Monument in the World - Phra Pathom Chedi in the province of Nakhon Pathom, the small temple of Wat Phra Pratone Chedi in the neighbourhood of the huge Chedi, and the world's largest standing (actually walking) Buddha statue of Phra Phuttamonthon. Photography: 360° view of downtown Portland, Oregon on the Willamette River. Photography: I finally got around to finish my series on Temples in Thailand with the last provinces visited recently. So, here it goes for Amnat Charoen, Ubon Ratchathani and Sisaket Provinces June 2002:Photography: Our tour through the North-East of Thailand continues to the border of Laos. See the temples in the provinces of Nong Khai, Sakhon Nakhon and Nakhon Phanom, where the famous Chedi That Phanom is located in a small village along the Mekong River. Also added were the Temples in Mukdahan Province on the eastern side of Thailand on the border to Laos. Photography: 360° shots taken at the Canale Grande in Venice and on the Falzarego Pass in the Dolomite Mountains, both in Italy. May 2002:Photography: Nestled in the green hills near Pak Chong sits a large Buddha image which was our first stop on a 2600 km journey through Isan, Thailand's heartland. Though it will take a while to get all the temples up on my new page on the North-East, take a look at the first few temples situated in wooded mountains, bizarre geological formations, endless rice fields or along the majestic Mekong river. I tried to capture some impressions on panorama shots, taken in the North of Cambodia, in the beautiful Khao Yai National Park in Thailand and in Phu Phrabat Historical Park just south of Laos. January 2002:Photography: To silence all of you who asked where the pictures of my recent 2600 km round trip to Northern Thailand are, I have started to post the first ones. Going North to Central Thailand the landscape gets green and picturesque. The three temples I've added are located in the midst of a beautiful setting. See the Temple of Buddha's Shadow , the Temple of Buddha's Footprint and the beautiful mountain Khao Nor. Criticism from Franziska has also caused me to
redesign the navigation and layout on all my thai
