‘Aghaa’lá does not really lie within Monument Valley but it is such a landmark that it is worth mentioning it. The name means 'Much Wool'. From what I have been told, the Navajo stories say that the Holy People have placed this peak here because the people on earth were suffering from too much heat from the sun. The peak created more distance between the sky and the earth.
