Banteay Samre

The 'citadel of the Samre' is another isolated temple, east of the main temple complex. It is also located in a non-developed and rural area of Cambodia that offers you a glimpse of what life is like without electricity or running water. Banteay Samre is one of the most complete temple complexes of Angkor. It is a Hindu temple, dedicated to Vishnu. During the rainy season there will be interior moats, which will be filled with water.
