San Juan Capistrano

Founded November 1, 1776

This is one of my favorite Missions. Unfortunately it is also the favorite mission of a lot of other tourists! The mission is known for its lush gardens and inner patio with a Moorish style fountain. Unfortunately the church was destroyed by an earthquake in 1812. The Mission is located in the town of San Juan Capistrano on Interstate Highway 5.

Oh...there is a great coffee shop across the Mission!
