San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo

Founded June 3, 1770

This mission is a photographer's paradise! I can't remember how many rolls of film I used here (yeah, back in 1996 we still used film :-)) Everything is worth to see - the wonderful court yard with its Moorish fountain, the exterior of the church, the interior and of course the many rooms which show how los padres lived.

It's located south of the City of Carmel, near Highway 1.
