San Juan Bautista

Founded in 1797

At this mission you can still see the old wagon ruts from the original El Camino Real, which was originally an old indian footpath. Unfortunately the Mission is sitting right on the San Andreas fault and was damaged by earthquakes in the past. Today the mission is restored and used for services. Don't miss to see the beautiful gardens.
